Building Green 2011 : The Government and CEO Forum

The Philippine Green Building Council (PHILGBC) has marked a historic event in the country during the launch of BERDE (Building for Ecologically Responsive Design Excellence), the Philippines' green building rating system, last November at the Building Green 2010.

January 2011 was highlighted with the development of the BERDE Awareness Course in partnership with TUV Rheinland, the PHILGBC accredited BERDE training institute. This was followed by the very successful BERDE Professionals and Assessors Training in February.

In continuing the BERDE Agenda, the Philippine Green Building Council, in cooperation with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), brings you this year's Building Green Government and CEO Forum.

The Government Forum dubbed as "Enabling a Regulatory-based Environment to Support Sustainable Buildings" is happening on March 24, 2011, to be followed by the CEO Forum entitled "Creating the Business Climate to Facilitate Green Building Investments" on March 25, 2011. Both forums will run from 8:00AM to 1:00PM at the Makati Shangri-La, Manila Ayala Avenue corner Makati Avenue, Makati City.

Distinguished panel of discussants will give their views in finding solutions in the current business and government issues concerning the green building industry. Participants to the forum will include Chief Executives from the private and public sectors and PHILGBC members. Companies who will be participating at this event will be networking with the industry's top business minds.

Also, the event shall highlight the Launch of the BERDE Green Building Rating System for Existing Buildings.  So come and bear witness to this momentous event for Green Building in the Philippines!
