In preparation for the rollout of BERDE (Building for Ecologically Responsive Design Excellence) - the Philippines National Green Building Rating System, the Philippine Green Building Council, in partnership with the UK Trade and Investment will be hosting a series of events for the private and the public sector via the PHILGBC's "Building Green - The CEO and Government Forum" with the theme "UK and the Philippines: Working Towards the Development of a Green Building Rating System for the Philippines". The conference will be held on 26th January 2010 in Makati City. 

The upcoming forum aims to find solutions to the various issues raised in the ongoing high-level sustainability dialogue in industry. The technical exchange between the UK and the Philippines will further strengthen and develop BERDE as a green market development tool. BERDE is envisioned to increase the uptake of green building in the Philippines. Philippine industry experience in addressing the sustainability issue will be further complemented by UK industry low-carbon market development expertise.

The Conference also seeks to redefine how we do business in today's demand for a low carbon economy. Companies who will be participating at this event will be networking with the industry's brilliant business minds.
